Announcing LensCulture's
Emerging Talents 2014!
You should know about these 50 photographers! We’ve discovered some great, new, emerging talents from around the world. Photographers from 94 countries submitted their best work for our review. An international jury of photography experts had to select 50 from the thousands of entries. Here they are, from age 18 to 69, amazing new artists, journalists and visual storytellers. Enjoy!
5 Grant Winners
Each of the five jury members selected one photographer from the Top 50 Emerging Talents to be awarded special distinction with a cash grant. Here are the jurors’ special selections, with a brief quote from each juror explaining what they especially appreciate about these photographers and their work.
The 50 photographers selected here represent 21 countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa — covering a wonderful range of topics, and utilizing a variety of photographic techniques, from antiquated processes to smartphone cameras, from the creative re-use of anonymous found photos, to elaborately staged narrative fictions, from hard-hitting documentary to heart-lifting poetic reveries. Each has a wonderful story to tell. Congratulations to all who participated.

This is just the beginning of worldwide exposure!
Announcing these 50 Emerging Talents is just the beginning of worldwide exposure for these photographers. LensCulture will feature these winners on our web platform and social media networks — reaching an audience of over 600,000. Plus, we will exhibit all of the winners at a gala exhibition in Barcelona, and all will be printed in our museum-quality annual: LensCulture Emerging Talents 2014. The printed book will be distributed to each of our LensCulture Insiders — a global group of many of the most influential people in the world of contemporary photography.
All winners will be part of a traveling show that will be projected at festival screenings around the world — first stops: Buenos Aires and Tokyo!
Congratulations to EVERYONE who participated.
